Tony did a great job during my regular maintenance appointment. He was friendly and professional and pointed out a potential problem with the head unit. He did a very thorough job of inspecting and cleaning both the head unit and the heat pump. After some less than stellar maintenance visits with other companies in past years, I'll only be giving my business to Polar going forward!

Some extremely hot weather came through, and our HVAC system just wasnt keeping up. It got to almost 90F inside our house. I called Polar and spoke with Cesar, who listened to what was going on and quickly scheduled a service appointment. Tony came out the very next day and worked tirelessly, making countless trips between our 100+ degree attic (its a two-story house) and our heat pump all the way in the backyard. After a thorough diagnosis, he determined that additional testing was needed and scheduled a follow-up for the next day. When he returned, he put in the same level of effort and persistence until he finally identified the problem. Polar then scheduled the repair, came back a third day, and got everything fixed. Throughout the entire process, communication was excellent. They kept me informed, explained what they were finding, and helped me understand what needed to be replaced. Tonys work ethic was outstandinghe never let the heat slow him down, and the amount he was sweating showed just how hard he was working. He also took great care of our home by using drop cloths and shoe covers to keep everything clean. Our system is working perfectly again, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Polar. Thank you to Cesar, Tony, and the entire team for the excellent service!

Awesome service! Start to finish, evruthong was great! The two techs who did the install were Hayden and Pavel and they were both so friendly and professional. They even loved on my kitty.. Super happy with my mini splits!

Our heat pump stopped working on a very hot day and they were able to come out the next day. They needed to replace the capacitor and add refrigerant. Tony was very helpful in explaining the issues with our system and was very thorough. I also decided to go with the service tune-up as our heat pump and air handler are older.

Overall we had a great experience. Tony came out to look at our system and provided an estimate for repair. Given, the repair could be up to 50% of a new unit and our system was almost 15 years we decided to go with a replacement. Mico came out and provided a few options, all very reasonable and what stood out is their 10 year labor and ability to fit us in with short notice. Eric did a great job installing our heat pump and gas furnace, seems to work great and left zero mess. They werent the lowest but offered the best equipment, service and warranty.

I have nothing but great things to say about Polar. Michele in the office, Mico who assessed and designed my job, and Cesar and Eric who lead the installation were all wonderful! And great smiles too! I had central air as well as three splits installed upstairs in my tricky 100 year old Tudor style house where I have lived for 26 years without central air and it has been such a game changer I wondered if the splits installed in the upstairs bedrooms might have been overkill... until the first day I accidentally turned it off lol - you were right Mico! One flick of the remote and 5 minutes later the bliss was back. Everyone was very responsive to my concerns and opinions. I expected to be dazzled by cool air lol - but honestly the biggest surprise? It was necessary to have their crew outside and inside (basement/1st/2nd/attic) for 4 long days along with me and 3 very large paranoid dogs... and it was an absolute pleasure. I am so happy that I have found this company. I needed service as my AC was done in the heat wave and my wife has a medical condition. ( I know people say this all the time but it is true) I called Polar and was pleasantly greeted on the phone by a lady named Michelle. She asked a few questions and tried helping me trouble shoot over the phone. ( No other company would do this) When I was unable to successfully get the AC to work she booked a service call and we had their tech Tony come out a figure out the problem. He is absolutely amazing and knows what he is doing. He looked over our whole system gave us honest feedback and was not pushy at all. We authorized the repair and he did it same day. Our unit is in borrowed time and I will be calling Polar to come out and provide us a quote and do our install with them. When they say they treat you like family at this family owned company they sure do. We signed up for the Polar plan and will be using this company from now on. Tony from Polar Heating & Cooling did a great job on a repair of our home's A/C in Lake Oswego! He was honest, informative and nice to work with. Our A/C is quite old, but he quickly repaired it by replacing the capacitor, as he had the part in his truck. Reasonable price and he was available within 2 days of my call. I will definitely use this service in the future 🙂

I am very happy to share my positive experience with Polar Heating. After receiving multiple estimates, choosing Polar was a no-brainer. I needed to replace my furnace and wanted to switch from a traditional HVAC system to a heat pump. I called, and Mico came out the very same day. Great bunch of guys, had a couple hiccups but got the job done. New heat pump and air handler. Outside unit, heat pump, is so quite and 1/3 the size of my old Train unit. Recommend this company.

Very good experience. Their technician Tony came out and gave a free and very honest inspection. Another company had come out a couple of months ago and told us we needed a blower cleaning done, but Tony flat out said were fine for at least another year. I really appreciate that level of honesty. In addition, their price for that fan cleaning is less than half what the other company charges. Definitely get a bid from these guys for any furnace maintenance or repair work. And if possible, request Tony.

I would highly recommend Polar heating and cooling. They did a good job installing the new heat pump and offered a very good overall quality service. One thing that really impressed me is that after the installation completion and receiving the full payment from me, I noticed some airflow needs to be improved, and they immediately responded to my request and provided the air flow adjustment to my furnace blower. What I am seeing is a very honest business, providing quality work and true to their word. I am happy to have worked with them on my HVAC project.

I liked everything about my experience! More specifically, best lowest cost for purchase and installation of a heat pump system that included a new furnace. The technicians detected a cracked heat exchanger in my older, existing furnace pointing-out the dangers of CO contamination if I did nothing about correcting this problem. Mico gave me a fair and honest discount on the furnace because it was an unknown issue that was only detected at the time of the heat pump installation. Very trust worthy. I couldnt be more happy with my ducted mini split system. Demo and installation was done fast and clean. Customer service was top notch and all the technicians were very friendly. 10 year parts and labor warranty give me a huge sense of security and well-being. Having the old bulky furnace remove and the ducting moved to the attic allowed me the space to finish off my half basement. They understood the assignment 100% and I couldnt be happier with everything.

When our furnace was diagnosed with a heat exchange crack, we knew we were in for a big bill. The company we called to diagnose and service our furnace was reputable and highly rated but we had a severe sticker shock with the quote. Wanting to be smart about this big ticket item, we searched around and called Polar because of their great reviews. Mico got a crew out to us right away. They confirmed the other companys diagnosis but when the bid came back it was significantly less. We went for it. They came out the next day which we appreciated because it was winter. Installers were super friendly and professional. They even finished earlier than they estimated. To summarize: Friendly, professional, timely and saved us thousands of dollars. Great experience.

Our 100 year old bungalow presented its challenges but the guys from Polar did a great job installing a ducted mini-split on the second level that is now heating and cooling better than our old unit ever did. My family and I LOVED working with Mico and his team at Polar Heating and Cooling! I called the company because it had such good reviews on Yelp and NextDoor. Now I understand why. Mico came to look at my HVAC unit within the same hour that I called him. He did a very thorough job of looking at all the components of the system, including counting the vents in every room. The quote he gave for replacing the whole system, including dual units upstairs and downstairs, was substantially less than a quote I received from another company. He was even able to provide upgraded smart thermostats at the same cost. Mico and his team members, including Tony and Eric, were excellent about communication. They kept me up to date with texts and phone calls every step of the way. They were punctual and hardworking. When the initial placement of the thermostat upstairs was in a location that was skewed towards warmer temperatures, the team came back and moved the thermostat to a different area of the wall and dampened some of the vents, which evened out the heat distribution in the various rooms. This was all done free of charge, despite the extra work. I was so pleased with Polar's work that I referred them to my sister, and she ended up hiring them for a job as well!

From the first call to the installation, the service was excellent and timely!

We purchased a new furnace from Polar Heating and Cooling recently. First of all, their responsiveness was amazing. My wife and I obtained a couple of estimates before calling Polar and it took a week or two before anyone could come out for an inspection and problem assessment. We heard about Polar through NextDoor and called them. They came out the same day and did an inspection. Their assessment of problems associated with the old furnace was thorough and prompt. For future maintenance, they even had suggestions on how to minimize problems of a sump pump and piping that was next to the furnace. We decided to purchase a new furnace and it was installed two days later at a price significantly less than the previous two estimates.

They were able to come out same day and get my heat working. However, had to come back 4 days later when it stopped working again. Found the problem and refunded me money for a board ordered that wasnt the issue. Explained the problem well and told me options. I will use again.

Cesar who answered my call before 7 AM was very helpful and got me an appt for noon the same day, to repair my furnace that had stopped working. Tony came on time and was very efficient in checking out the furnace, identifying the problem as a burnt out inducer motor. He answered all my questions knowledgeably. Estimate appeared reasonable; he was able to get a replacement motor (OEM) and had the furnace running well in short order, with a reassurance that everything was in order. For Tony and Cesar, I rate their service a 5. It was a pleasure working with Tony. The reason I only put 4 stars is my discovery after the fact that the online replacement cost for the replaced part was 30-50% less than what I was charged. (I did not see their receipt for the replacement motor purchased. I called Cesar who explained that the mark up is to cover their 1 year warranty and to allow them to cover their business overhead and profit. Good enough for me and I would still highly recommend them. In the future if time permitted, I would ask if I could provide the part for them to install.

We hired Polar for a replacement of an old furnace. They were excellent at communication, highly responsive, and very easy to work with. I appreciated the owner and staff equally in their professionalism and ability to provide multiple quotes and replacement options.

We cannot recommend Polar enough. Our gas furnace went out at 7pm before a 29 degree night. I was up at 4:30AM cold in bed researching well-rated HVAC companies. By 6:00AM I had an appointment set for 10AM. Tony was efficient and informative. He let us know the issue was a costly repair, yet my husband and I felt good about the quoted price so we OK'd the fix. He had to run out for the specific part, and he got our system back up and running by 1pm. The experience was so positive, we signed up with them for our yearly maintenance going forward.

Tony & Mico came out to look into our furnace problem and to get us a quote for new equipment too. It was great to have such experienced and high caliber people out and I learned a lot. I also really appreciated that Tony explained so many details to me, so that I could better understand what was going on with our furnace.

I had a great service call with Polar Heating & Cooling. Tony came out today and evaluated my 20 year old furnace. He found a crack in the heat exchange using his camera equipment (and identified a potential serious CO2 leak) . He was prompt and spent a lot of time explaining the situation with me. I scheduled a second visit with Polar to get a quote for a new furnace. I recommend this company for their attention to detail and great customer service.
